about

Vernian Process San Francisco, California

Drawing inspirations from legendary authors such as H.G. Wells, H.P. Lovecraft, and Jules Verne, they weave the spirit of science fiction and fantasy effortlessly into their music. Progressive rock, neoclassical, post-punk, tribal styles, carnival tunes, and more collide with anachronistic results. Established in 2003, they are globally recognized as the pioneers of the steampunk music movement. ... more

Track Name: The Consequences of Time Travel (Part One)
Lyrics by: Joshua A. Pfeiffer, Martin Irigoyen & Lisa Wells

Cast a thousand years from home.
Through a void beyond control.
era churning far below, trickling away...

Fading! Into the unknown!
Like embers that turn to ash.

What could this be? A curse or a gift?
In time I will see, what was and will be.

Something's happening to me,
drifting at the end of time.

Gateway's unhinge before me,
whispers heard in a dream.
Beckoning me to reach forth,
slipping into the streams.
The fabric unravels slowly
where Centuries used to be.
I hold in my grasp the secret
of infinite... destinies!

Falling! Unstoppable!
As ages have come past

What could this be? This most frightening gift.
In time I have seen, what is happening to me!

Again and Again, x3
The cycle revolves without end!
Track Name: In The Looking Glass
Lyrics by: Joshua A. Pfeiffer & Martin Irigoyen

Oh Angel, dear child... come with me
As we glide neath the willow trees

Come, come away, to a place we can stay
Away from the world, today.

Chorus:
Down down down, we go.
Down the rabbit hole
Down down down, we go.

They won't understand what I hold most dear,
As we sail a sea of tears.

One day I'll be gone, will they leave us alone?
The Thames will carry you home.

Chorus:
Down down down, we go.
Down the rabbit hole
Down down down, we go.
Track Name: The Crimson Veil
"Crimson Veil"
Lyrics by ~ Joshua A. Pfeiffer, Martin Irigoyen & Lisa Wells.

(Verse 1)
Why insist in offending the senses, with senseless repeating patterns?
You are enraged, out of control. My destruction is your goal.
Now wave a flag of ignorance. Before our eyes. For all to see!

(Chorus 1)
The Crimson Veil has blinded them all.
The truth of this game has shown us your soul.
Fear and hatred have blinded them all.
You think I can't see, I will be your downfall.

(Verse 2)
Why persist in defiling beauty, with single minded plays?
You are armed, I alone.
As this waltz goes on and on (and on)
Before their eyes. They all will see!

(Chorus 2)
The Crimson Veil has blinded them all.
The truth of this game has shown us your soul.
Fear and hatred have blinded them all.
But I won't be afraid, I will be your downfall.

(Bridge)
But what will you do, when the horns come at you and split your deception in two?

(Waltz)
So we'll dance and we'll bleed. We will face our mortality

(Outro)
We'll dance and we'll bleed until we hit the floor.
We'll fight and we'll dance, like never before.
We'll dance and we'll bleed until we hit the floor.
And if fate so desires, I'll face you once more.

And if fate so desires, I'll face you once more.
Track Name: Emerald Fields (feat. Jamie Brewster)
Vernian Process - Emerald Fields
Lyrics by ~ Joshua A. Pfeiffer, Martin Irigoyen & Jamie Brewster.

(Josh Vox)
Give us your tired
Bring us your poor
Your huddled masses
Yearning to be free

And we will suppress them
we will oppress them
we will divide them
silence is the key

demonize the seed
control the masses
dangerous they say
this reefer madness

(Jamie Brewster vox)

“(OG comin' out of retirement, and that don't just happen for anybody, yah dig?)

If you look at the statistics of incarcerated people, you will see that those of color fills the jail (it isn’t equal). We’re worth more to the system stuck in cages (it’s outrageous). Advantageous, lack of education (racist created). Since the beginning of the ages, we’ve been hated (incarcerated), for trying to feed our family, and now you want to legalize it? Tell me how you feel about it? I want you to think about it. Pause…

Free my folks from weed convictions (money is the new religion). They got tired of seeing all the cheddar being generated (aggravated). So they wrote some laws, so they could profit from it. (Stop it) If you think you’re gonna make a profit. Allocate for education, stop financial segregation, equity for all equations. Now you want to legalize it? Tell me how you feel about it? I want you to think about it… Pause…

They been locking us up for years, you see and now they wanna sell it. Hypocrisy 101, expose the truth I’m gonna tell it. Where’s the justice in the system? People of color are the victims. Lack of money equals guilt. Pay the lawyer, go free.

Twenty Five to life them say, throw away the key them say, three strikes you’re out, and now you’ll never see another day. Now you wanna legalize, what they lock us up for? Get up, stand up, we won’t take this no more.”

(Josh Vox)
Legalize the seed,
control the masses
profiting from greed
divide the classes.

(outro ensemble vox)
We are the tired
We are the weary
We are the masses
Yearning to Be Free…
